With the Ekolojik TaTuTa system The Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living is the official member of ECEAT for Turkey, as well as the national WWOOF organization of Turkey.

Sponsors
Ford Otosan made the TaTuTa project possible by donating the rights of use to the Bugday Association of an all-terrain pickup truck; it has been and will continue to be indispensable to the TaTuTa team in terms of transport and communication with host farms in various regions throughout Turkey.

The ATLAS Geography and Discovery Magazine has supported the TaTuTa project with the film used to take photographs of host farms and their surroundings and by designing, producing and donating the use of the maps displayed in the printed and electronic TaTuTa Guide.
Getting to Bugday

From the airport:
To get to the Bugday office from the airport, you should take the HAVAS airport service bus to Taksim. From Taksim you walk down Istiklal Caddesi (Taksim is a giant plaza with avenues radiating from its center). Istiklal Caddesi is a pedestrian boulevard--the only pedestrian avenue off of Taksim--so you can't miss it. The French Cultural center on the right marks its entrance. Follow the tramway tracks until "Tunel," where the tramway ends. Here, the tramway curves to the right and at that curve there is an entrance to a downhill street: Galip Dede Caddesi. Follow that down and on your right you will see the Galata Tower and just after that when you see a bicycle shop -BAHAR Hirdavat- on your left, take a left onto Luleci Hendek Caddesi. This is our office's street. Going down this street, on your left you will see a green building: Aslan Han. This is our building. We're on the main entrance lobby floor, on the left. The walk from Taksim to our building is about 20 minutes.

If you don't want to walk with your luggage from Taksim you can take a taxi. Tell the driver to take you to Kuledibi (refers to the base of the Galata tower) or "Galata Kulesi". You can get out when you get to the tower plaza and orient yourself on the uphill side of the tower looking downhill. Go towards your left--a steep down hill. Once you descend this short steep downhill, across from you you will then see the BAHAR biciycle shop referred to above. Cross the street and continue straight on Luleci Hendek Caddesi - our street. The driver should also be able to locate Luleci Hendek Caddesi from the base of the tower. He should follow the same instructions as you would walking. If in doubt you should tell him to go towards "Tophane" and he will use Luleci Hendek Caddesi.

From the Main Bus Terminal:
The bus terminal is located in the outskirts of the city but most bus companies have a city service minibus that goes to a variety of key locations in the city of Istanbul. To come to our office, you should take the service that goes to Taksim. Ask your bus driver or attendant for "Taksim Servisi." Once you reach Taksim Square follow the instructions above to reach the Galata Tower and Luleci Hendek Caddesi.

From The Sirkeci (Europe-bound) Train Station:
Exit the train station and head toward the sea. Follow the coastal road to the left until you reach the Galata Bridge-it is the first and only bridge you will encounter if you take a left on the coastal road/sidewalk. Cross the bridge, staying on the right side. With luggage we don't recommend that you use the lower pedestrian bridge passage. After crossing the bridge follow the main artery of traffic that comes off the bridge to the right. At the first large four-way traffic light intersection, take a left. Follow this street until it ends-a main avenue with one-way traffic and tramway tracks. Cross the avenue and take a right. After passing the Saint Benoit Fransiz Lisesi (French highschool), take a left up the first steep street. There should be a parking lot and carwash on your right. At the end of the hill take a left; this is Luleci Hendek Caddesi. Our green building-Aslan Han-is on the right side and the office is on the main entrance lobby floor on the left. The walk from the train station is about 30 minutes.

If you take a taxi from the train station, tell the driver to take you to "Kuledibi -Saint Benoit Lisesinin arkasi." If the driver is only capable of finding the Galata Tower, from there you can either walk to or indicate Luleci Hendek Caddesi using the instructions above (see "from the airport" above).
